Welcome to my gorgeous Italianate terrace "Sinjin" in the heart of Forest Lodge, less than 2km from the centre of Sydney.

Within walking distance to the city, Central, Glebe, & Newtown in a buzzing, hip & friendly neighbourhood of cafes, shops, small bars and markets, the location can't be beaten.

Fully renovated, the house is an amazing mix of luxury and old-world charm.

“Like a luxury hotel” is the response from most guests here. If you love design and interiors you'll love this house! An epic renovation has lovingly brought this heritage beauty back to life, with no expense spared in creating a made-for-Airbnb space that exudes charm and character.

From custom made marble and terrazzo floors, to gorgeous brass lights, original fireplaces and decorative ceilings, there is something of interest in every room.

Private, secure and quiet, Sinjin is perfect for those studying or teaching at nearby universities (on the doorstep of both Sydney Uni and UTS) or those visiting our fair city and wanting a central but friendly neighbourhood base from which to explore the city. Note this is a luxury stay and isn't suited to backpackers or those looking for budget accommodation. Bookings of students (friends) sharing a room will not accepted (couples ok, LGBTI welcome).

- Double glazed windows in all new areas keeps the house beautifully quiet

- No other guest rooms on this floor

- Eco-sensitive build with top of the range, super efficient appliances

- Washing machine and heat pump dryer available in concealed laundry

The kitchen has tea and coffee and all cooking facilities, with a fully kitted out kitchen - though why would you cook with so many great restaurants nearby!

You still have access to your bedroom, bathroom, the kitchen, dining and family room, and a gorgeous deck out the back.

Please note the room is downstairs and may not be suitable if you have large and heavy luggage - you cannot drag bags down the timber stairs so you must be able to carry any luggage you have.

I work during the day but am available if you have any problems or questions. In the evening I often watch TV in the separate lounge room or read in my room but love to have a chat and share a glass of wine on occasion with my guests.

Forest Lodge is a vibrant, unique suburb only a stone's throw from the dazzling city, gentle Glebe, hip Newtown, buzzing Surry Hills, and a walk to the water. Being opposite the stately Sydney University, it is a bohemian place populated with a mix of students, some families, and older residents. Comprised of gorgeous Victorian terraces you can get a feel for 'old Sydney town' by walking it's tree-lined streets. Take a rest from admiring the architecture by stopping in for a coffee and maybe a cronut at any one of a multitude of cafes right outside your door.

Whilst on a quiet residential street, buses to the city, Central Station, Bondi/Clovelly and outer west are available a 30 second walk away. Sydney University is one block away and UTS a 10 min walk. It's walking distance to the city (20 mins), Newtown, Ultimo, Camperdown, Chippendale, Broadway, Glebe and Annandale. Taxis and Ubers are plentiful, and walking is safe any time of the day or night. On-street parking is available on the street outside (there are both unrestricted and restricted spots. If you miss out on an unrestricted spot, visitor passes can be purchased off me for $10/day).

I have 3 gorgeous little pet ratties. They live in the separate loungeroom so you may never see them, but just ask me if you'd like to meet them, they love making new friends!

Host is fully vaccinated & I prefer guests to be also.

Travel insurance is recommended to cover you in case of any disruptions to your travel, such as delayed/canceled flights, illness (incl Covid), or other circumstances.
